Display Panel

Channel Number or Line Input Indicator (L1 or L2) The

channel number or line indicator (L1or L2) appears. Select L1 to

record from back input jacks or L2 to record from the front jacks.

HIFI Indicator Lights during stereo playback when Tape

Playback: HI-FI/LINEAR/MIX feature is set to HI-FI.

SAP Indicator ( ) Lights when Reception: STEREO/MONO/SAP

feature set to SAP.

Tape Speed Indicators (SP, LP, or SLP) Press SPEED on the

remote to change the recording speed.

Time or Time Counter Time or time counter a ppears. Press

INFO to change.

Status Indicators Show what the VCR is doing.

• BYE and HELLO Turned off and on

• EJECT Ejecting tape

• F--FWD Fast forward

• PLAY Playback

• REC and REC P Record and record pause

• REW Rewind

• SRCH + and SRCH – Forward and reverse search

• SLOW + and SLOW – Slow motion

• STILL Frame advance and play-pause

• STOP A tape is stopped

• TIMER Timer recording set

• TAPE Flashes when timer is set and no tape in VCR

• X--REC Express recording in progress

STEREO Indicator Lights when station you are tuned to is

broadcasting stereo.

VCR Indicator (Applies only if the VCR viewing channel is 3

or 4). Press the TV•VCR button to turn on or off.

• VCR indicator on: Picture from VCR.

• VCR indicator off: Picture from TV channel.
