BEEP OFF Beeps are turned off and shutter sound is not heard.
BEEP Beeps sound when any operation is performed and shutter
sound is heard during snapshots.
MELODY Factory Preset: A melody is heard instead of a beep when any
action is performed and shutter sound is heard during
snapshots.
TALLY OFF The tally light remains off at all times.
ON Factory Preset: The tally light comes on to indicate the start of
a recording.
ID This number is necessary when connecting the camcorder to a
NUMBER device such as a computer using the service port. The numbers
range from 01 to 99. Factory preset is 06.
DIS OFF Factory Preset: Refer to Using Steady Pix™ (see page 37).
ON
TELE OFF Factory Preset (OFF) : Usually the distance to a subject where
MACRO ON the lens is in focus depends on the zoom magnification.
Unless there is a distance of more than 1 m (3.3 ft) to the
subject, the lens is out of focus at the maximum telephoto
setting. When set to ON, you can shoot a subject as large as
possible at a distance of approximately 60 cm (2 ft.).
Depending on the zoom position, the lens may go out of
focus.
WIDE OFF Factory Preset: Doesn’t display black bars.
MODE
CINEMA Allows you to record black bars at the top and bottom of the
screen to produce a cinema-like wide-screen effect.
SQUEEZE For 16x9 aspect-ratio TVs. Naturally expands the image to fit
the screen without distortion.
WIND OFF Factory Preset: Sound is recorded as normal without preventing
CUT wind noise.
ON Cuts down on the noise created by the wind.
