Recording
The camcorder will automatically
turn off if it remains in record-
pause for three minutes. Slide the
POWER switch upward to turn the
camcorder back on.
The camcorder has a beeper that
beeps for certain functions. The
beep indicator flashes with the
beeps. To turn off the beeper, press
and hold STOP and PLAY together
until BEEP OFF appears on the
monitor or in the viewfinder.

7. Zoom in and out.
Zoom in and out using the T and W
zoom lever.
8. Review what you have recorded.
Press and quickly release REW to
review the last few seconds of your
recording.
Press and hold REW or F.FWD to
visually see what you have re-
corded. Release the button to begin
recording at that point.
9. When you are finished, slide the
POWER switch upward to turn off
the camcorder, close the monitor,
and replace the lens cap.
1. Attach a power supply.
Attach the adapter/charger or charged
battery.
2. Remove the lens cap and attach it
to the handstrap.
3. Slide the POWER switch upward to
turn on camcorder.
The CAM indicator will light and the
camcorder will enter record-pause.
PAUSE appears in the viewfinder or
on the LCD monitor.
4. Insert a tape.
Press EJECT to open the cassette
compartment.
Insert the cassette with the safety
tab facing up and the tape window
facing out.
5. Adjust the position of the LCD
monitor or viewfinder for
comfortable viewing.
If you are using the LCD monitor,
use the BRIGHT control to adjust
the brightness of the monitor.
If you are using the viewfinder,
adjust the eyepiece focus control
for your vision.
6. Start and stop recording.
Press and release the REC START/
STOP button (thumb trigger) to
start recording. REC appears on
the LCD monitor or in the
viewfinder.
Press and release the thumb trigger
again to stop recording. The
camcorder is now in record-pause.
PAUSE appears in the viewfinder
or on the LCD monitor.
